 Since the time of the Clan War and the fall of the Hantei Dynasty, mankind has exerted its will upon both the mortal world and the Celestial Heavens. Under the rule of man the Shadowlands have come to live in Rokugan, the whole of creation was nearly consumed by the Lying Darkness, and war has plagued the Empire unchecked. As the Race for the Throne draws near its end, the Heavens look down and prepare to render judgment on the words and deeds of man. The Earth trembles at the judgment of the Heavens!  The time of judgment is at hand. After a time of chaos, the Celestial Heavens have undergone massive upheaval, and the Emerald Empire will never be the same.  Tomorrow is the all-foil deck that commemorates the 2006 Legend of the Five Rings World Championship. Faber Van Kraanen won the day with the Ratlings, and was the first to enter the Tomb of Shinsei that held the gifts of the Seven Thunders. The Tomb was an actual place, set up in the cellars below the World Championship, where the top of Clan players were allowed to enter and choose one item for their Clan. These items will help to shape their Clan in the years to come. Each top of Clan player went in rank order, and their choices were made without the other Clans knowledge. Not only are the items chosen in the Tomb represented in this set, but their effects are also. Each L5R Tomorrow starter deck box includes 4 decks. Each L5R Tomorrow starter deck includes 110 all-foil cards including 20+ new cards that tell the story of the World Championship Storyline Event. It features the winning card mix of Faber Van Kraanen's 2006 L5R World Champion Ratling deck, and includes new cards for every clan that tell the story of the items found in the Tomb of the Seven Thunders as well as the mystery of Tomorrow.  From L5R Wikia The Battle of Beiden Pass is widely regarded as the beginning of the Clan War. The enormous Crab and Shadowlands army moved north from the Kaiu Kabe and sacked several Crane and Scorpion Clann cities. The army then moved straight for Beiden Pass, crippling Rokugan's primary trade route. Everything was going well until the Crab discovered a massive army already waiting for them at the northern end of the pass. The massive army was led by the ronin Toturi, heading a collaboration of ronin, Dragon, Unicorn and Naga troops. The army quickly became known as Toturi's Army. The well-known animosity between Mirumoto Hitomi and Hida Yakamo reached its peak when Hitomi charged at Yakamo's position during the battle. Having taken Yakamo's hand in a duel not long before, Hitomi was planning on finishing the blood feud between the two. Unfortunately for her, when she reached Yakamo, he revealed a monstrous claw attached to his arm, replacing his missing hand. Yakamo quickly disposed of Hitomi by crushing her hand and the Ancestral Sword of the Dragon Clan. Yakamo then left Hitomi for dead. The battle in the pass lasted for weeks. Eventually, Toturi's superior tactics defeated the machinations of Hida Sukune. The Crab were driven south. Toturi left the Unicorn Clan in control of the pass and moved his army north. For failing his father, Sukune was killed by Kuni Yori, sacrificed upon the Terrible Standard of Fu Leng. Released in 1996, this classic L5R box contains 2 ready-to play-decks (featuring Crab and Dragon clans), 2 Clan strongholds, step by step basic training guide, and complete large format rules.
